Controller

The controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the person named in the legal notice.

In short

• No cookies, no local storage, no tracking, no analytics, no advertising.
• No content from third parties: fonts, scripts and data are served from this domain.
• No forms and no accounts – we do not ask you for any personal data.

Hosting and server logs

The site is a static website delivered by Amazon Web Services (Amazon CloudFront and Amazon S3), operated by Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, 38 Avenue John F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg. To deliver a page, the servers necessarily process your IP address, the requested address, date and time, and technical information sent by your browser (such as the browser type). This is required to show the website and keep it secure (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Access logs are switched off: we do not store these data, and AWS processes them only for delivering the page. Data may be processed in the United States; AWS is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Vehicle data

The NHTSA files we use can contain personal details (such as VIN, city, dealer or names). We drop these fields while reading the files; they are never stored or shown on this site.

Links to other websites

Links to nhtsa.gov and other sites are only followed when you click them. We send no referrer information.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR) and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Contact us using the details in the legal notice.
